The Story

D Gerrard is the stage name of Ukrit "Big" Willibrord Dongabriel, a Thai singer, rapper, songwriter and producer of Thai-Portuguese-Sri Lankan heritage who was born in Bangkok and raised in Phatthalung. Classically grounded — he took up saxophone as a child and later guitar — he first reached a national audience competing on The X Factor Thailand in 2017 with his self-written song "Unique" (ไม่เหมือนใคร). Though he didn't win, he signed to Wayfer Records under Warner Music Thailand and broke through with the 25-million-view single "Galaxy," a genre-blurring mix of soul, jazz, hip-hop and R&B sung bilingually in Thai and English. His catalogue includes "กลัวแฟน" (feat. Jennifer Kim), "แมงเม่า," "บ้านนอก," "Casanova Boy," "Hey Bae" and "มากับบิ๊ก" (feat. OG-ANIC), and he frames his cosmic, self-produced songwriting around an ongoing "galaxy" universe and an outsider, self-described "alien" identity.
