H 3 F are a four-piece from Bangkok who make blues, R&B, soul and funk feel effortless and sun-warmed. Formed in late 2017 out of the ashes of the band Penny Time — and once known as Happy Three Friends — the group is built around friends who studied together at Rangsit University: Gong on guitar and vocals, Ping on guitar, Mhom on bass and Max on drums. Their 2018 debut EP 'Cheesy Lyrics, Sloppy Groove' sent all its singles into the top three of Cat Radio's chart, but it was 'How Can I', from debut album 'Family Product', that broke them worldwide with millions of streams. On 2023's 'Chalawan Sound' they wove 1970s oldies, psychedelia and soul into something wholly their own, chasing a long-held dream of taking their English-language grooves on a world tour.
