Maew Jirasak Panpum is a Thai singer and songwriter, known to many as a rock singer with a hard edge and the voice behind hits like 'Khon Khong Ther', 'Dao Pradap Fa' and 'Loek Ra'. These days he works mostly behind the scenes, writing songs for other artists across luk thung, hip hop and rock without limiting himself to a genre, and taking concert work alongside it. He wrote a book called Listen, Practise, Play: On Becoming a Musician. His other side is economics, which has stayed part of his life even after music became his living; he believes what he learned there has shaped how he thinks about making songs, and holds that music and economics are the same subject.
