2NE1 are a four-member girl group on YG Entertainment — CL, Dara, Park Bom and Minzy. They debuted in 2009 and became one of the most successful second-generation K-pop acts on hits including 'Fire', 'I Am The Best' and 'Come Back Home'. Their releases slowed, Minzy left in 2016 after a year-long hiatus, and YG announced the group's disbandment later that year; the 2017 single 'Goodbye' seemed to close the book. Then in 2022 all four appeared together unannounced at Coachella, and video of them performing 'I Am The Best' travelled everywhere. The reunion followed for real. It felt like coming home, they say.
