A$AP Rocky is a rapper from Harlem. His previous album was Testing, and it took the best part of a decade for his fourth studio album, Don't Be Dumb, to arrive in January 2026. Part of the gap was that unreleased tracks leaked online several times, pushing the record back again and again — the opening bar of the opening song, 'Order of Protection', says as much. He claims 85 per cent of the album is brand new material, with only a couple of previously leaked demos on it. As he told The New York Times, this album is what 2011 Rocky would be making in 2026; it also lives inside the world of Tim Burton. He has always been inspired by Burton, he says, and The Nightmare Before Christmas was his favourite film growing up — so he brought the filmmaker in to illustrate the artwork and give each of his alter egos a face, from Babushka Boi to Mr Mayers.
