Show evidence →BE:FIRST is a Japanese boy band formed in 2021 through the reality audition program 'The First,' hosted by rapper-producer SKY-HI under his BMSG agency and signed to B-ME, a joint label with Avex. Founded to give Japanese talent the kind of world-class stage often sought abroad, the group made its major debut in November 2021 with the single 'Gifted.,' which topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and drew over 14 million streams in its first week. Their 2022 debut album 'Be:1' also topped the Japan Hot Albums chart and was certified Gold. Blending polished J-pop, dance-pop, and hip-hop, the group now performs as a six-member lineup — Sota, Shunto, Manato, Ryuhei, Junon, and Leo — after Ryoki departed in 2025, and has collaborated internationally with artists including Jonas Blue and ATEEZ.
