Show evidence →Daniel Caesar is a musician from Toronto. Critical recognition came with the 2015 EP Pilgrim's Paradise, and 2017's Freudian made him a streaming favourite and a festival regular. He has been nominated for nine Grammys and won Best R&B Performance in 2019. Never Enough arrived nearly four years after Case Study 01, begun in quarantine while he was holed up at home in Toronto. Plaques bore him and award shows bore him, he says; what he was looking for was the feeling that he respected himself, that he knew he had done something, and that the respect from his peers and from the people who enjoy the work was real.
