Dear Seattle's third album TOY entered the Australian ARIA chart at #1 — #4 overall in its first week — and carried the band into their biggest overseas touring. Frontman Brae Fisher describes it as taking things back to fundamentals after Someday (2022), which was written inside COVID lockdowns and was harder for exactly that reason: with live music gone, he told The Note, 'you lose that whole application of it being something that needs to translate to a live performance'.
