HONNE are an English electronic duo formed in London in 2014 by producer James Hatcher and singer-producer Andy Clutterbuck, who met at university. Their name comes from the Japanese word 本音, meaning "true feelings," and their warm, synth-driven blend of soul, R&B, and sophisti-pop draws on influences from Al Green to Bill Withers. Their 2016 debut Warm on a Cold Night went multi-platinum across Asia, and later releases like Love Me/Love Me Not (2018) and Let's Just Say the World Ended a Week from Now, What Would You Do? (2021) featured collaborators including Khalid, Pink Sweats, and Tom Misch. The duo remain especially beloved in Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia.
