Imagine Dragons are a Las Vegas band who have spent more than a decade making melodic anthems that reach audiences everywhere. The GRAMMY-winning group has sold 74 million album equivalents and 65 million digital songs, with over 160 billion streams. Frontman and chief lyricist Dan Reynolds dislikes labels and calls conversations about genre trite; he does not write with fans or critics in mind, but from what he is feeling at the moment and whether a melody moves him. He was a classical pianist for ten years, from six to sixteen, playing Chopin, Beethoven and Bach — his brain was formed by that training, he says, and it is still where his melodies come from. Loom, the band's sixth album, holds nine songs.
