JAY B is the South Korean singer-songwriter best known as the leader of K-pop group GOT7. He debuted in the duo JJ Project in 2012 before fronting GOT7's run of hits under JYP Entertainment, and also led the R&B-leaning sub-unit Jus2. Since going independent in 2021 he has leaned fully into moody, groove-driven R&B and soul—recording as 'Def.' with the Offshore crew and releasing solo work like the mini-album SOMO:FUME. His smooth, sultry vocals and hands-on artistry mark him as one of K-pop's most credible R&B voices.
