Joey Phuwasit Anantpornsiri began as a contestant on The Voice, then signed to Genie Records, where 'ดวงเดือน' and 'นะหน้าทอง' became hits. His album 'Phon Sai Style Sound' takes its name from the small district in Roi Et he grew up in — Phon Sai is like him, he says: ordinary-looking, with something particular of its own, the way anyone who leaves a province for the city is. The record puts old-era music under the hooks and lets funk in. He writes from a picture in his head first, and the picture tells him what the song should be.
