Tu Nantida Kaewbuasai is a Thai singer. As a child her family encouraged her to study both music and dance; her models were Karen Carpenter, Shirley Bassey and Vikki Carr. She first sang in public at six or seven at the Blue Moon nightclub and appeared on the television programmes Bandai Dara and TopPop. The singer Suda Chuenban happened to hear her rehearsing and suggested she enter Channel 3's competition to choose an amateur singer for the third Asian amateur championship in Hong Kong. Five hundred people entered that year; she sang 'My Way' and 'The Way We Were' in the early rounds and chose 'I Who Have Nothing' for the semi-final, where thirteen remained. She was named Channel 3's best amateur singer in 1978 and became one of the two who travelled to Hong Kong to compete.

Movement in the record — what the sources attest · in the past month
The record is still
Whether this stillness is the artist's or Hoshi's has not been checked
…here's who to follow next
Hoshi shows only what is real — we connect the world, not make it up.
