Yellow Fang are a Bangkok trio — Pimporn 'Pang' Metchanun on guitar and vocals, Piyamas 'Pym' Muenprasartdee on bass, and Praewa Chirapravati Na Ayudhya on drums and vocals — described by i-D as riot-grrrl fiery, Spice Girls syrupy, and shoegaze obsessed. They had been a band for years before releasing a debut, and named it The Greatest partly as a joke about how long it had taken. Most of their lyrics are in Thai and travel anyway, on feeling and hooks; they have played Summer Sonic in Japan, and Erlend Øye of Kings of Convenience produced one of their tracks.
