Highlight are a South Korean boy band who were previously known as BEAST — Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gikwang and Son Dongwoon. 2017 was the year they began again under the new name. Dongwoon said at the time that he had been a little worried about starting with a new management company, but everyone was supportive and they came back from those first doubts; with a name like Highlight, he added, they felt freer to bring out the brighter side of their songs. In April 2025 they released their sixth mini-album, From Real to Surreal, in their seventeenth year since debut. Yoseob said he is always grateful that they can put out albums and have so many people listen. Doojoon said every year feels emotional, that he still gets nervous with each release, and that simply putting out an album in their seventeenth year is new and exciting.
