PURPLECAT are a duo on SPICYDISC: Mon Napasin Chaisri singing and playing guitar, and Palm Ponrat Sirirat rapping and on synthesiser. They have worked with the Filipino artist Ysanygo on 'Sunny when I'm with you'. The single 'ทันใจ' was written by Mon out of his own experience of a relationship that ended because both of them kept up appearances; it carries hip hop crossed with newer sounds, produced with Fung Akkarachon Ratchapandi of Better Weather. Their first album, Feelings From Scratch, runs twelve songs and reads as a record of the journey from the first day the two of them started making music alone, through a great deal of trial and error. If you want to know what PURPLECAT actually is, Mon says, this album is the answer.
