Jinjer are a Ukrainian progressive groove metal band fronted by Tatiana Shmayluk, with Eugene Abdukhanov on bass. Their fifth full-length, Duél, came out in February 2025 on Napalm Records. Eugene says it is hard to believe the band reached a fifth album at all, and that still not having run out of creativity is what they are proud of. It was the longest songwriting process they had ever had — almost two years, worked on in every free minute off tour, demos recorded over and over in search of the right sound for guitars, bass and drums. It was also the first time Tatiana did vocal pre-productions herself, and he says no release of theirs has ever been so thoroughly thought through.
