Park Jihoon returned with his seventh EP, 'Blank or Black', six months after his sixth, 'The Answer'. He held his first solo press conference the day it came out, and said the record carries his charms through its songs. The title track, 'Blank Effect', is fusion hip-hop with an explosive sound. His performance in its video was drawn from the 2019 film Joker: an expressionless face, he said, is what loneliness and emptiness look like, and there is a scene where the man dances under a street lamp with his face in shadow, acting strong, as if to say he is fine alone, while inside he is desolate.
