RIIZE are six — Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee and Anton — who debuted for SM Entertainment in September 2023 with 'Get a Guitar'. Their founding promise was Rise & Realize, growth and self-discovery moving together; on the second mini album Sungchan puts it in a more active tense: Rise to Realize. You do not find yourself first and then move forward — you move, and the moving is how you begin to understand who you are. They have taken multiple rookie-of-the-year honours, and their first full album, ODYSSEY, was a third consecutive million-seller at home. Their sound casts wide: scuzzy electronica, classic boy-band sweetness, nostalgic slap bass — and the moment you think you have it pinned, they are out of that box again.
