Caribou is the name Dan Snaith, the producer from Ontario, has used longest and is best known by. The single 'Honey' is a near-instrumental dance track with drum programming that reaches back to the heyday of UK garage, a heavy bassline and a sampled voice singing "You'll always be my honey". He wrote, produced and recorded it himself, sharing the arrangement credit with Kieran Hebden, better known as Four Tet. Across the album of the same name he simply pushed the tempos about ten percent faster — an ordinary move that lands the record a world away — with two-step in 'Do Without You', jungle and EDM in 'Broke My Heart', and leftfield house in 'Dear Life'.
