Layton Giordani is a techno DJ and producer from New York, born and raised there, who got seriously interested in music at around fourteen — in a city with a thriving house and techno scene since the nineties. As a teenager he DJed the occasional teen nights at Pacha NYC, which is where he honed his craft and met people in the scene, Drumcode's Adam Beyer among them. At that first encounter he handed Adam a USB stick full of his own music; six months later Adam played one of those tracks at Awakenings Festival, and his career started there. The same habit of handing over a USB led to one of his first releases on Intec, Carl Cox's label. He held a residency at Output in Brooklyn, and his later productions have brought in drifting melodies, city soundscapes and acid.
