Num KALA — Noppasin Sangsuwan — started from nothing, entering the Hotwave Music Awards for the first time in his last years of school and losing. The second time he went out in the final thirty. He entered a third time and reached the final ten, deeper than he had ever gone, and still did not win — and still did not stop. Then Grammy called him in for a screen test, and he became the singer of KALA on genie records. The band released albums steadily from 'กะลา' in 1999 through 'LOVE INFINITY' in 2012 before parting in 2014 over not working the same way any more. He went solo, and released Time To Smile in 2019. Across twenty-two years he has come through every era of this, from cassette tape to streaming.
