Jannabi released their first full-length album, Monkey Hotel, in 2016 — vintage in its overtones and unlike anything else around. The singles that followed included 'Good Boy Twist', an anxious meditation on getting through an existence that seems vain and still hurts. Their second album, Legend, gathers folk-rock ballads and playful pop melodies into something eclectic but coherent, and reads more like a set of personal confessions from Choi Jung-hoon. He has said the record tells the story of a young person's hardships — hardships that will one day remain only as a legend. In 2022 they played New York, at K-Indie Music Night in Damrosch Park with Lincoln Center.
