Summer Salt are a breeze-pop band from Austin, Texas, founded in 2012 by childhood friends Matthew Terry on vocals and guitar and Eugene Chung on drums and most other things, later filled out by Winston Triolo and Anthony Barnett. In 2024 they marked ten years of their debut EP Driving To Hawaii with a remaster and a national tour, alongside a new release, Electrolytes. After Sequoia Moon (2021) and Campanita (2023), the fourth LP RESIDE runs thirteen tracks. Chung says they always want to bridge the gap between celebrating what they have done and veering toward what interests them now — there is always more of their own music to explore.
